Creating a fragrance brand looks opaque from the outside: who does what, in what order, and what should you decide first? Here is how a project really unfolds at Parcolux — the same path followed by every brand we support.

Step 1 — The brief: everything starts with your world

Before talking about bottles or formulas, we talk about your brand: its positioning, its customers, its markets, its olfactory world. Scent family, references that inspire you, desired intensity, intended concentration... The more precise your brief, the faster and more accurate the development. And if your brief isn’t ready yet, we help you structure it — that’s our job.

Step 2 — The all-inclusive proposal

Based on your brief, we build a clear proposal: the full scope (juice, bottle, packaging, regulatory, production), the intended quantities and an all-inclusive unit price. No per-component quote, no obscure line items: a readable offer that lets you decide.

Step 3 — Olfactory development and samples

Your brief goes to our partner fragrance houses. The olfactory proposals reach you as samples: you smell, you wear, you have people around you test them, you ask for adjustments. This dialogue continues until THE formula — which becomes contractually exclusive to your brand. And one clear principle protects you: if the samples don’t suit you, you have no obligation to go into production.

Step 4 — Packaging

Alongside the juice, we define the object: a personalised bottle from our stock (lacquering in your colours, cap, pump, collar) or a custom bottle with an exclusive design; label; carton or gift box. At final approval, every detail is set in writing: your production run will match the approved samples — that’s a commitment.

Step 5 — EU regulatory

To be sold in the European Union, your perfume must be tested, documented and notified on the CPNP portal. We handle the entire file. It’s a phase that takes time — it starts as soon as you approve, in parallel with production preparation, so it doesn’t delay your launch.

Step 6 — Production

Blending, maceration, filtration, filling, crimping, labelling, boxing: your perfume comes to life in our workshops near Paris, operating under the ISO 22716 standard. Every batch is checked to ensure it matches the approved samples.

Step 7 — Delivery... and beyond

Your product is ready to join your sales channels. And that’s often when the relationship really begins: restocks, new references, moving to an exclusive bottle, gift-set variations — your manufacturer becomes the industrial partner of your brand’s growth.

The most important advice

Choose a partner who has you approve every step on something concrete — samples, not promises — and who gives you a firm all-inclusive price rather than a stack of line items. That’s what separates a well-run project from a series of bad surprises.
